The table explains the messages that may appear on the Sites screen. The most common questions follow.

Frequently asked questions

• What does “recursive” mean? In the user assignment, it means the access applies to the site and to every site below it. In a record (document, location), it means it also appears in the sites below the site where it was created. In both cases the effect only goes down the tree, never up (chapter 2).
• I have assignments in two clients. Do I see both? Yes: assignments add up. In the header, choose one at a time, or a site above both with Site + sub-sites, if your assignment reaches that site.
• I created a site in the wrong place of the tree. Can I move it? No: the Parent Site does not change after registration. If the site has no records yet, delete it and create it again in the right place; if it has, talk to the administrator before anything else (chapter 7).
• I deleted a site by mistake. Is there a trash? No. Deleting a site is permanent and cannot be undone from the screen. The records that belonged to the site remain saved, but linked to a site that no longer exists (chapter 7). Contact support.
• The Assets tab of the site is empty, but there are assets there. The tab shows only the assets of the site itself — those of the sub-sites are in the record of each one — and needs the Computers right (Read) in your profile (chapter 5).
• What are latitude and longitude for? For the record map, for the site to appear on the Dashboard map and for the weather of the Daily Reports of the site’s projects. Without them, the weather uses the city of the record.
• The site does not appear on the Sites screen of the app. The app only lists sites with the Address field filled in. Fill in the address on the web; the site appears in the app after the next sync (chapter 8).
• The inherited document is out of date. How do I remove it in the sub-site? You can’t: the inherited document has no trash icon in the sub-site. Remove it (or upload the new one) in the record of the site where it was uploaded; the change applies to all sub-sites (chapter 6).
• Why is the document expiry red if it expires today? The list paints it red from the expiry day itself and amber during the 30 days before (chapter 6).
• A user accesses the site but does not appear on the Users tab. The tab only lists who has a direct assignment on the site. Whoever gets there through a recursive assignment on a site above does not appear there (chapter 5).
• Where do I change the site that opens when I sign in? It is the Default Site of your user record, set by the administrator (manual Users, groups and profiles).
